Serve as a key contributor in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, CMS-driven applications on the Optimizely platform. This role requires close collaboration with UX/UI designers, product managers, and QA teams. Additionally, this role requires hands-on expertise in a wide array of technologies including ASP.NET Core, MVC, Web API, Razor, ReactJS, JavaScript, and SQL.

 

This position is expected to be hybrid.

 

NYC Salary Range - $102,894 - $131,868 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.

  • Support the organization’s digital growth by delivering high-quality, user-centered web and mobile experiences.
  • Key responsibilities include full-stack development, integration of business requirements, and participation in agile processes to create secure, high-performance digital solutions for both internal and external users
  • Engage with senior developers, architects, and managers to gain insights and direction that contribute to high-quality solutions
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct.

Optimizely & .NET Development

  • Design and develop enterprise-grade websites and applications using Optimizely CMS/Commerce, Digital Experience Platform (DXP), C#, .NET Core, VB.NET, and ASP.NET MVC.
  • Customize Optimizely templates, blocks, pages, and components for dynamic content and commerce-driven sites.
  • Develop reusable and modular components leveraging Optimizely APIs and tools, enabling flexible, scalable content models and personalized experiences.

Front-End & UI/UX Development

  • Create responsive, rich user interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, ReactJS, Bootstrap, CSS, and HTML.
  • Leverage design tools like Figma and Adobe suite of products to create UI/UX prototypes for usability testing and user validation

Testing, Optimization & Standards

  • Conduct application testing, performance tuning, code optimization, and refactoring to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Adhere to and enforce coding standards, including comprehensive documentation, version control (e.g., Git), and proper task management.

 

What we're seeking

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT work experience, primarily focused on web application development
  • Knowledge of financial/banking industry
  • 5+ years of software development experience on the Microsoft platform, including 2+ years of hands-on development with Optimizely CMS, supported by a required Optimizely Developer Certification (CMS and/or Commerce).
  • Extensive server-side expertise with ASP.NET (C#), MVC.NET, Razor, and ADO.NET, complemented by strong client-side skills using JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap (or similar), all focused on delivering rich, interactive UI/UX experiences.
  • Proven database development experience with 3+ years in T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Skilled in building and consuming web services (WCF and Web API) with 2+ years of practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Web Servers (IIS 6.0, 7.0, 8.0+) for at least 1 year.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement complex business workflows and security frameworks within .NET applications and server environments.

  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks like ReactJS, Angular, or Kendo UI.

  • Experience with templating engines like Handlebars, Mustache, or EJS.
  • Exposure to DevOps, automated deployments, containerization, and cloud environments (especially Azure).
  • Graphic design capability using tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience with BDD Testing (via Katalon or Specflow) or unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Mocha, Jest).
  • Familiarity with Oracle/PLSQL, SSIS/SSRS, mobile development (iOS/Android), and payment gateway integration.
  • Knowledge in middleware development, XML technologies, and SOA architectures.
