Provide operational, analytical, and project management support for department. Assist FVP with collecting and evaluating transactional and statistical data. Utilize tools to analyze and collaborate with management to decipher trends leading to executive management recommendations. Prepare periodic statistical reports and presentations, and participate in the analysis and interpretation of data. Assist in assessing needs and identifying data sources, as well as providing executive-level administrative support and input for ad hoc requests.

 

This position can be remote.

 

NYC Salary Range - $93,450-$119,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location

What you'll do

  • Lead project management efforts by coordinating with stakeholders to drive the successful execution of projects, initiatives, and new product development
  • Structure, manage, and optimize data pipelines, providing the foundation for accurate reporting
  • Develop high-impact visual presentations that connect data trends to business objectives
  • Trace operational flows and perform data analysis from knowledge of DNA at both the account and transaction level
  • Generate reports for management and staff from various database sources in an efficient manner
  • Support team in development of dashboards, statistical and interactive reports, and data visualizations in power point utilizing data extracts from excel
  • Develop dynamic statistical models, scenario analyses, and performance tracking tools using data sourced from Tableau, BI Portal, Lodestar, and other systems
  • Develop scenario analysis to model effect of implementing proposed deposit solutions products or enhancements
  • Analyze internal and external deposits to identify patterns and track balance movements
  • Develop long and short-term deposit-related planning, including collaborating with various stakeholders on a deposit gathering strategy for the credit union
  • Identify data sources and obtain data for the analysis of trends related to deposit growth
  • Identify, trace, and refine data into insights from data mining
  • Serve as backup to the FVP as directed and participate in all business continuity planning and exercises
  • Execute the credit union's deposit gathering activities, including current product modifications, new product development, introduction and member usage
  • Manage development of new deposit products and enhancement of existing products
  • Execute approved changes to system development and implementation from the Pricing Committee
  • Participate and present in certain meetings in the capacity of subject matter expert
  • Prepare presentations and reports for management, Pricing Committee, ALCO, Board of Directors, and other various regulatory agencies
  • Prepare presentations (including organizing and coordinating content), spreadsheets, graphs, charts and department communications using various software applications
  • Collaborate with colleagues, monitor trends in deposit growth, as well as deposit product usage by region, member type, and other relevant segments, to share insights
  • Serve as point of contact for vendor management; manage deposit, investment, and department protection related vendor information in Vendor Point; assist the Third-Party Risk Management department in assessing the risk profile of vendors
  • Manage engagements with third party services, which include but are not limited to software vendors and service providers
  • Assist with research and analysis for responses to audit and examination findings
  • Participate in Credit Union training and development programs
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct

What we're seeking

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in research and analytics
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and financial statements, cash flow, and financial markets
  • Ability to analyze and gather user requirements, along with member data and product adoption trends in a competitive environment
  • Proficient in creating flowcharts and data mapping/modeling
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to translate large volumes of data into meaningful information and recommendations
  • Advanced MS Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced Tableau skills

What makes you stand out

  • Knowledge of economic and business concepts
  • Knowledge of Adobe Professional is a plus
  • Experience working with SAP Concur or other expense reporting platform
