This position is expected to be hybrid.

 

NYC Salary Range - $120,000-$150,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.

  • Take ownership of defining, communicating, and driving the strategy, roadmap, and execution timeline for the Digital Banking platform and other product lines that create value for members and business units.
  • Ensure transparency and clarity in articulating product plans, benefits, and outcomes to diverse internal stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration, ensuring product solutions align with strategic business goals and measurable success metrics.
  • Accountable for developing a deep understanding of member and business needs, identifying product gaps, and proposing innovative ideas that enhance experiences and drive growth.
  • Ensure seamless execution of user experiences by collaborating effectively with developers, business teams, and marketing partners.
  • Oversee the translation of product enhancements into detailed requirements, ensuring rapid development and successful testing for quick time-to-market delivery.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of comprehensive product documentation, including product guides, release plans, and training materials to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take accountability for every stage of the product lifecycle, from research and discovery through experimentation and delivery.
  • Lead product launches with full ownership of go-to-market strategies, coordinating efforts across business teams to ensure successful rollout and adoption.
  • Responsible for transition planning, working closely with support teams and business units to enable smooth product deployment.
  • Advocate for Agile product management processes, ensuring detailed presentations, requirements, product backlog, and user stories account for all scenarios of a product release.
  • Make data-driven prioritization decisions, selecting features that best meet member and business needs while defining minimal viable product releases.
  • Serve as the point of contact for IT and business units regarding product features, issues, and priorities.
  • Define and track success metrics, ensuring accurate measurement and continuous improvement based on analysis of launched products.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to refine standards and processes, ensuring consistency and best practices across the team.
  • Proactively assess and analyze member and business interactions, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Take full responsibility for additional assigned responsibilities, ensuring tasks are executed effectively and with strategic intent.
  • Contribute meaningfully to department and organization-wide initiatives, driving impact through collaboration and strategic thinking.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct.

What we're seeking

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in software product management
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying web-based products using Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of technology product management within digital retail banking, including best practices for scalable and customer-centric solutions
  • Understanding of Online and Mobile Banking applications and emerging digital technologies that enhance financial services
  • Proficiency in developing and analyzing business metrics, ensuring product effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals
  • Ability to independently drive strategic initiatives, manage competing priorities, and align cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present product visions in a compelling and actionable manner to stakeholders
  • Proficiency in defining and analyzing business metrics, ensuring products meet strategic objectives and drive measurable impact
  • Collaborative proactive team player, able to initiate and execute projects independently while fostering open communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an awareness of the unique needs of geographically distributed teams and stakeholders

  • Experience in Business Process Modeling and Process Improvement, driving efficiency and optimization within product workflows.
  • Skilled in defining Epics, Features, and crafting User Stories that translate strategic priorities into actionable development tasks
  • Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) to improve software reliability and efficiency
