Responsible for reconciling card PIN based transactions. Serve as primary interface with the Accounting Department in researching issues of payment movement and settlement.  In addition, responsible for supporting incoming ATM adjustments from other financial institutions and the direct execution of all ATM transaction adjustments originating from Retail Branches, Representative Offices, Member Directed Services, member complaints, etc. Supports the Manager, Global Cards Solutions Operations in their primary role of delivering superior member service.

 

This position is expected to be hybrid.

 

NYC Salary Range - $68,710 - $90,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.

What you'll do

  • Daily reconciliation of PIN based card transactions; identify difference and prepare clearing entries for management approval.
  • Evaluate card account adjustments from daily reports and/or Accounting and execute settlement to the appropriate account. 
  • Review re-presentments and notify members of denied dispute claims.
  • Work with Accounting and other departments to resolve out of balance differences related to PIN based transactions.
  • Support member requests for ATM investigations for disputed PIN based transactions and process network adjustments.
  • Review daily reports to ensure compliance with Regulation E timelines.
  • Monitor and implement network chargeback rule changes to ensure compliance with requirements.  
  • Write, review, and update department procedures in accordance with department timeframes to ensure proper documentation is established.
  • Provide training support for department staff for reconciliation.
  • Serve as SME for all ATM reconciliation and dispute transactions.
  • Liaise with IT, Accounting and CO-OP (third party) to assure error resolution.
  • Participate in training programs.
  • Assist management with ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct

What we're seeking

  • Bachelor’s degree, or some college coursework completed
  • 3-5 years in a financial services environment working directly with card processing or ATM reconciliations
  • Member service, finance and/or card product knowledge
  • Competency in cards-related systems
  • Computer proficiency with strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle changing deadlines and multiple concurrent tasks
