Be the first point of contact to our members and provide overall support to our Geneva office. You will uphold the Credit Union's commitment to provide exceptional member service and represent the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner at all times. Under general supervision, perform receptionist and administrative duties in order to ensure support for the department. Moreover, undertake different tasks related to the efficient performance of member-related services.

What you'll do

  • Regardless of seniority or role, uphold UNFCU’s mission, core values, and guiding principles by providing an exceptional service experience to colleagues and members alike through consistent demonstration of our service excellence behaviors.
  • Utilize the service excellence model to provide a memorable member experience at every touch point.
  • Apply service excellence principles to all interactions; promptly greet members, vendors and other guests visiting the Credit Union and receive incoming telephone calls. Determine the nature of the members’ inquiries. Respond to the inquiries or and direct them to the appropriate staff when appropriate.
  • Receive incoming telephone calls. Respond to inquiries or direct as appropriate to other department personnel.
  • Sort and distribute mail. Also, prepare correspondence and documents for the department as needed.
  • Register and store debit and credit cards in a secure location. Ensure tracking log is properly maintained and up-to-date for receiving, delivering and destroying cards with dual authorization. 
  • Manage the email queue for UNOG payroll and exception items received from the Digital Banking Payroll platform. Activity includes answering emails, preparing lists, reconciliation and verification and liaising with agencies and members when required.
  • Perform and assist with various functions that contribute towards the increased efficiency of the business and of member-related services.
  • Order and monitor supplies for the office as needed.
  • Assist other UNFCU colleagues, branches, offices and departments with various functions or projects.
  • Develop and maintain a positive business relationship with members and with colleagues.
  • Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets for preparation of department reports using various software applications. Create simple and some intermediate database queries for analysis as needed.
  • Respond to member inquiries and requests in a prompt, efficient and friendly manner. 
  • Work on various short and long-term projects.
  • Participate in UNFCU training programs.
  • Schedule conference rooms and meetings as needed.
  • Perform any other functions required by management within the competence of UNFCU business in Europe.
  • Uphold UNFCU’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures, including:
  • Maintain awareness of and report suspicious activity
  • Complete all relevant BSA reports promptly and accurately (e.g. CTRs, SARs)
  • Complete annual BSA/AML/OFAC training

What we're seeking

  • Completion of statutory schooling and a minimum of 2 years of professional working experience
  • Must be computer savvy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
  • Highly organized and willing to work occasional overtime hours, if needed
