Performs complex analysis to ensure the security, availability and integrity of third party and UNFCU developed applications. Identifies functional and manageability requirements for application software in order to support business processes, assists in the design and deployment of applications, as well as in the ongoing support and improvement of applications to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services to meet both short and long-term business requirements.

 

This position is expected to be hybrid. 

 

NYC Salary Range - $107,712 - $135,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.

What you'll do

  • Regardless of seniority or role, uphold UNFCU’s mission, core values, and guiding principles by providing an exceptional service experience to colleagues and members alike through consistent demonstration of our service excellence behaviors.
  • Work closely with IT and business staff to understand existing operations and application support needs. 
  • Provide technical assistance to IT staff in the monitoring and reporting of system performance and the detection and resolution of system problems.
  • Perform detailed root cause analysis & troubleshooting of problems reported by end users/Level I/Level II Support.
  • Perform upgrades to the third-party systems and conduct testing.
  • Work with third party vendors for resolving production issues.
  • Coordinate activities and maintain extensive communication with appropriate IT staff, user system administrators, department managers, UNFCU staff, project teams and third-party vendors.
  • Work on demand management request from business by fulfilling business demands in Core banking, Lending, Cards, document management systems etc.,

What we're seeking

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems and 5-7 years of banking/financial services applications Implementation and administration experience
  • Proven track record of major database system implementations and support and an understanding of application development methodology, as well as project management exposure
  • Knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases including querying, understanding application table structures and relationship
  • Working experience in implementing Core banking conversions and strong knowledge of core banking products such as Deposit, Loan, Cards etc.,
  • Working experience in supporting/administrating different software applications and systems specifically in financial institutions.
  • General understanding of all phases of the SDLC, as well as programming languages and system architecture
  • Strong analytical ability/problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment to complete assigned projects in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
