NYC Salary Range - $64,770-$72,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.

 

Our team is responsible for the timely and accurate tracking and investigating of outgoing remittances. You will get to apply knowledge and experience of global payments processing to investigate and resolve inquiries on behalf of our members, correspondent and agent banks.  You will have the opportunity to work closely and maintain relationships with many business lines at UNFCU and external payment service providers.

What you'll do

Regardless of seniority or role, uphold UNFCU’s mission, core values, and guiding principles by providing an exceptional service experience to colleagues and members alike through consistent demonstration of our service excellence behaviors.

  • Receive, log, track, and manage payment investigation requests from members, internal colleagues, and external banks/providers through to completion.
  • Contact other financial institutions and service providers as needed to complete the investigation. This may require exchanging service messages, telephone calls, emails, or letters.
  • Communicate status and/or resolution to members and/or internal colleagues on a consistent and regular basis.
  • Maintain accurate and updated files of all correspondence in reference to ongoing and closed investigations.
  • Assist in special projects and any tasks for the department which may be assigned

What we're seeking

  • High school diploma, plus some college coursework in relevant subjects from a junior college or university (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, etc.) and a minimum of three years of electronic payments processing experience in a financial institution handling both USD and FX payments processing, including working within investigations unit.
  • Advanced knowledge pertaining to US and international payment processing rules, US and international payment data requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and detail orientation.
  • Strong sense of teamwork, ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
