  • Overview

    Play a key role in maintaining high quality standards in a software test environment. Work closely with IT Application Development and Project Management teams to design, test, and automate various application systems. Assist with maintaining and executing the quality assurance process for the organization. Ensure that industry standard testing methodologies are followed in the organization thereby delivering defect free applications to business end users.


    • Understand the core banking application and in-house products that integrate with the core banking application and derive test requirements from business requirements
    • Prepare test strategy, test plan/approach, test scenarios, test data and test case within assigned areas in accordance with functional and design specifications
    • Perform functional, regression, online/batch interface testing, data migration testing and data warehouse testing
    • Ensure that software problem reports are documented, maintained, and monitored
    • Responsible for the organization and upkeep of testing environments
    • Assist in the planning, scheduling and execution of testing projects
    • Assist in the development, measurement and review of software development processe 
    • Work with a team of Developers, as well as Managers, to implement QA best practices and contribute creative solutions for the team and business user 
    • Coordinate with both onsite and offshore QA consultants from external vendor and review their test plan and execution results; provide necessary feedback



    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in QA testing, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience gained in the banking and/or financial domain



    • 5 years’ experience in test requirements analysis and designing/executing test scenarios and cases
    • 2 years’ experience in testing functional aspects of retail banking especially in the lending and payments area
    • 2 years’ experience working with a core retail banking application like Fiserv DNA or an equivalent system
    • Experience working with Digital and Mobile banking solutions
    • Excellent understanding of modern software QA theory, agile practices and methodology
    • Good understanding of software architecture
    • Good hands-on working knowledge on relational databases and SQL skills – basic queries, joins, inserts, updates
    • Experience developing and working with VBA Macros to sort, compare and manage data
    • Understanding of the overall product development process, phases and deliverables
    • Providing requirements to the test automation team on product functionality
    • Experience in executing automation scripts (Selenium and Visual Studio) that are built and delivered by the automation team
    • ISTQB/ASTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level at a minimum


    Additional experience that would be helpful:

      • Experience in working with functional & technical modules of Fiserv DNA
      • Experience working with Automic-Fiserv DNA integration
      • Experience in testing applications using multi browser/devices

    • Ability to adapt to a changing environment by developing new skills and responsibilities
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and apply QA theories and concepts to assignments
    • Must be able to provide application and functional solutions to a wide range of problems that integrate organizational objectives
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment to complete assigned projects in a timely manner



    • Standard office conditions
    • May be required to work on weekends or other extended hours depending on the nature of the project and timelines
