    The Web Designer will champion the web and digital experience for UNFCU. You will work as part of the Branding & Promotions team, as well as the Marketing department, delivering assets that support UNFCU’s brand integrity and member growth.

     

    This position will also be responsible for: leveraging digital channels to promote UNFCU products, services, and initiatives; and front-end development of UNFCU (including UNFCU Foundation) websites to support growth of visitors and engagement.

    Responsibilities

    • Passionately support an end-to-end approach for design solutions that elevate the brand and user experience across UNFCU web/digital platforms.
    • Deliver high-fidelity designs that effectively convey UNFCU messaging and brand.
    • Implement and maintain UNFCU websites, and channels such as email, landing pages, and member statements.
    • Understand high-level messaging and business themes to deliver quick low-fidelity design concepts in collaboration with a cross functional team.
    • Define and track metrics for measuring impact of promotional components across web and digital; while recommending improvements for campaign performance.
    • Support building a UX-focused environment for qualitative member research, iterative concept design, and creative testing methods to validate concepts.
    • Implement best practices for UNFCU websites and PPC advertising; as well as measure their impact on SEO and engagement.
    • Efficiently manage projects and timelines within the department review process.
    • Stay up to date on web/technology trends and usability, inside and outside of the financial services industry, to improve member experiences and team knowledge.
    • Develop collaborative relationships with external departments, agencies, and vendors.
    • Maintain strong understanding of UNFCU’s products, services, policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    TYPE & AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree is required. Focus in design, web development, or related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of three years of web design, including mobile responsiveness and knowledge of SEO required.
    • Experience delivering work for global/international audiences preferred.  

    TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Online portfolio required
    • Experience with PPC advertising, Google Analytics, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Exact Target) welcomed
    • Experience in human-centered design thinking, techniques, and philosophy welcome

    BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

    • Excellent communication skills are required; conviction to champion your point of view while collaborating with others.
    • Excellent project and time management skills are a must.
