    This position will lead the Instructional Designer, Facilitiator and Developer to create global learning programs that support our mission, vision, core values and corporate strategy.  Critical to the success of this role is the ability to strategically define the direction of global learning by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to understand current and future learning needs. 


    Contribute to the overall success of UNFCU by ensuring employees are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver the highest quality experience to our members.


    • Collaborate with FVP, HR to set overall direction of global organization wide corporate learning, to increase organizational performance and support engagement and retention.
    • Create a sustainable global learning curriculum leveraging industry best practices and emerging technology to analyze, design, develop, and deliver high impact and engaging blended learning opportunities and experiences org wide.
    • Design change management strategies to promote a pervasive learning culture throughout the organization.
    • Develop and maintain business relationships across the organization to understand and address learning needs and support the business in areas such as; service and sales skills, product knowledge, management fundamentals, compliance, etc.
    • Build and leverage relationships with best in class consultants and producers of interactive, engaging customized learning programs.
    • Oversee the development of eLearning offerings that meet diverse learning needs and ensure effective use of the Learning Management System and its reporting function.
    • Coordinate engagements with HR colleagues to ensure training offerings align with development programs in the Talent Management division of HR.
    • Lead and continuously develop a high-performing Corporate Learning team, fostering collaboration, and continuously improving team performance through coaching, training, and stretch assignments.
    • Continually learn, develop, and keep current with best practices in the area of learning and apply those practices in the development of UNFCU’s learning offerings.
    • Set the annual corporate learning budget and oversee learning budgets for all departments by partnering with leaders across the organization to ensure these learning dollars are effectively utilized.
    • All other duties as assigned.



    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study, plus 8-10 years progressive experience in learning and development in a corporate setting
    • Proven track record of working independently to build and lead a progressive corporate learning function
    • A collaborative and flexible style, with a passion for change and continuous improvement
    • Experience leveraging a variety of learning and development tools and technologies
    • Proven experience in people management with strong focus on coaching and development
    • Experience developing learning strategy, program development and project management
    • Experience working cross-culturally with diverse colleagues in a global environment
    • Experience in a financial services/customer service organization preferred



    • Instructional design understanding to guide and support design and execution
    • Familiarity with eLearning platforms and practices, Saba LMS experience preferred
    • Video production learning experience preferred
    • Effective stand-up facilitation and presentation skills
    • Ability to assess corporate learning needs and provide creative solutions
    • Ability to design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate diverse learning programs
    • Knowledge of adult learning principles, including social learning and blended learning strategies

    • Standard office conditions
    • Periodic travel to other UNFCU locations may be required


    In addition to any specific job requirements in connection with Bank Secrecy Act and/or OFAC (BSA), employee must (i) be aware of BSA matters commensurate with the position; (ii) report any suspicious activity to the manager or compliance department; and (iii) satisfactorily complete any required BSA training.
